Commercial Real Estate Litigation

I frequently handle litigation that involves commercial real estate.  The types of disputes I have handled have involved: unpaid commissions, breaches of commercial leases, building defects, lending agreements, option contracts, and management agreements.

The most ubiquitous type of case that involves commercial real estate is a breach of a lease agreement. These typically arise when a tenant fails to pay and the landlord then is compelled to file suit to recover their lease payments and potentially evict the tenant.  However, while commercial tenants do not possess the same degree of protection as their residential counterparts, they nevertheless may have available defenses to claims brought against them due to non-payment of rent.
